Sedation & Comfort

Understanding Dental Anxiety and Sedation Options for a Comfortable Experience

Many people experience dental anxiety before and during dental procedures, and it’s completely normal to feel nervous or even fearful when anticipating an appointment. Whether it’s the sound of dental equipment or simply the idea of a procedure, these feelings are common. We understand that each patient has different comfort levels, and we are committed to providing a relaxed and comfortable experience tailored to your needs.

For patients who feel anxious, we offer laughing gas (nitrous oxide) as a form of sedation. This mild and effective method helps you feel calm and relaxed during your dental visit. Delivered through a mask over your nose, laughing gas works quickly to reduce anxiety and make the procedure more tolerable. The effects are short-lived, wearing off quickly once the mask is removed, allowing you to resume your normal activities right away after your appointment.

While laughing gas helps manage anxiety, it’s important to note that it is not a painkiller. You will still receive local anesthesia to numb the treatment area and ensure that you are comfortable throughout the procedure.

Laughing Gas

Laughing gas, an inhaled sedative, brings one of the safest and easiest sedation techniques to nearly any procedure. Patients from young to old may benefit by simply breathing in and out.
